The Joy of Children Receiving School Uniforms from The Damara Bali Foundation
YAYASAN DAMARA BALI distributes School Uniform assistance to poor students as many as 50 children consisting of 28 senior high school level children, 21 junior high school children, and 1 elementary school children. Which was handed over directly by volunteers from the Villa Bugis staff accompanied by the Damara Bali Foundation Director.
Giving assistance to poor students is a program of Damara Bali Foundation in order to expand access to quality education for poor students in Datah Village Karangasem Bali. The high number of school dropouts and those unable to continue their education is mostly due to economic problems, because many of the children of that age come from poor families. The increase in education costs is increasingly difficult to overcome by the ability to provide government and community funds. The increase in costs threatens access to and quality of education services and therefore solutions must be found to overcome this problem of education financing.
The purpose of this assistance is to:
1) Providing education services for poor students to be able to fulfil their needs in the field of education, so that students who are unable / poor can continue to receive education. This is also in order to support the achievement of compulsory education.
2) Reduce the financial burden on parents, especially for those who are less well-off. Thus, parents can focus more on other aspects that are also important to support their children’s education.
3) Increasing students’ enthusiasm for learning.
4) Creating an inclusive and harmonious learning environment.
5) Helps students feel more confident and less worried about differences in social status.
6) Helps build a sense of community and pride in being part of the school family.
7) Children can learn comfortably.
Contributing Positive
The uniform assistance program for poor students contributes positively to the continuity and sustainability of students’ education, as well as supporting the realization of policies to improve equity and expand access to quality education. The assistance program for poor students also has a positive impact on increasing student discipline and motivation to learn, both at school and at home, which is also encouraged by the existence of special coaching programs from schools and school committees, both for students and parents of program recipients related to school discipline.
Along with that, this assistance program was also able to make a positive contribution to the improvement of student achievement at almost all levels of education as seen from their subject grades.
This assistance program needs to be continued until the children can complete their education at least high school and directed because it is proven to be able to contribute positively to the continuity of education.
Thank you to all of our donators for the support and donations that have been given to Damara Bali Foundation because with your kindness we can do many things and people like you will make the world a better place.
