What We Do

Our projects

Our main aim is to break the cycle of poverty, through education.

We follow the core principle that a loving family environment is always a better option than institutional care.

In the short term

we provide this via direct sponsorship of children, so that they can remain in school and complete their education.

In the longer term

we foster independence by finding sustainable solutions. In this way, we hope to build the strength of our community for a better future of families and children.

At Damara we strongly believe in the concept of helping people to help themselves instead of relying on handouts.

Our goal is to alleviate poverty in rural areas by improving the household income of poor farmers and increasing the number of poor children able to get an education.

Improving the capacity of the local society to foster a good environment for their children, encouragement of education and striving for prosperity.
