Damara started with generous contributions from Villa Bugis, a villa management company in Seminyak, Bali (villabugis.com). Villa Bugis have continued with annual donations and also with administration support to keep costs to the minimum – there is no administration costs or overheads as this is donated by Villa Bugis Management so that 100% of donations go to the intended recipients. Read more about Villa Bugis here.

Direct sponsorship of children is our main focus now, so we are actively seeking direct sponsorship of children by individual sponsors.so that the kids they can stay in their home environment whilst completing their schooling. 

We follow the core principle that a loving family environment is always a better option than institutional care. Therefore, we foster independence by finding sustainable solutions. In this way, we hope to build the strength of our community for a better future of families and children.

We are currently supporting nearly 100 school children who have dropped out of school because their parents are very poor. Their ages run from 7 to 19. We typically have a waiting list of 25 children.

Help break the poverty cycle by sponsoring a child’s education! Only Rp 1,500,000 (AUD 150) allows us to support a poor child to attend school for one year, by providing uniforms, books and supplies that the parents can’t afford.Any additional donation will directly benefit your sponsored child. Ideally – sponsor them until they finish senior high school at 18 

Damara will provide a newsletter every quarter and you receive a report regarding your sponsored child every 6 months.
